Our clients — a family of three with a colourful, dynamic lifestyle and a passion for travel — wanted their home to feel like a genuine retreat from everyday life. The house, with its covered terrace, garden, and spa area, needed to accommodate many forms of relaxation, from intimate family mornings to larger gatherings with friends. They brought us in before the architect had finalised the drawings, giving us the chance to shape the project from its earliest decisions through to move-in day.
We found the key in proportions: the right balance of white, vibrant, and dark tones creates a livable minimalism that stays warm. Textured surfaces and bespoke joinery add soul without clutter, while the cantilevered staircase serves as a sculptural centrepiece that preserves the open-plan living area’s clean spatial composition. Every room was designed to feel both considered and effortless — a place where good design recedes into the background of daily life.
Our clients say they are reluctant to leave the house because of the endless ways they can enjoy it. Each room has its own character and serves multiple functions, while belonging to a coherent whole.
Starting early meant we could adjust and even open up walls alongside the architect, making the space feel airy while ensuring every centimetre is used well. When unexpected challenges arose during construction — like the architect’s staircase design becoming compromised mid-build — we problem-solved onsite, turning the staircase into the crown jewel of the space.
„We're finding ourselves feeling reluctant to leave because there are endless possibilities for us to enjoy here. From cozy family cuddles, to hosting friends and colleagues, to productive work and study sessions. And the best part? I am only talking about just one room in our amazing new home!”
